A Leader in Fertility Treatment
Meet Darcy Broughton, MD, FACOG at Pacific Northwest Fertility, a double board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist. Dr. Broughton is passionate about advancing family-building options for the LGBTQ+ community and single parents by choice.
Dr. Broughton completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Oregon Health and Science University, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident and received the Chief Resident Teaching Award. Her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Washington University in St. Louis included award-winning research on the effects of the Zika virus on the ovary.
Since joining PNWF in 2018, Dr. Broughton has been a leader in advancing fertility options for the queer community. She cofounded PNWFâs Center for LGBTQ+ Fertility in 2021 and loves helping this population build families. She has authored one of the few studies on IVF outcomes for transgender and nonbinary patients. Her passion also extends to caring for single parents by choice - as she is a single mom of a PNWF IVF baby!
Dr. Broughton is from Bremerton and is a proud Washington native. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Northwest wine country, cheering on the Seahawks, and spending time with her family.

Area of Interest
An active educator and advocate, Dr. Broughton serves on the board of the Seattle Gynecologic Society and is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicineâs LGBTQIA+ Special Interest Group. She feels lucky to participate in resident training and education, and is the REI faculty site lead for Swedishâs OB/GYN Residency program.
