Empowering Families with Expert Care in Reproductive Health and Genetics
Dr. William Freije is doubly board-certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI), as well as obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN), and he holds a Ph.D. in human genetics from UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine. His vast experience extends beyond treating patients; he has been an assistant clinical professor at UCLA's OB-GYN department since 2015 and has been educating medical students and fellows since 1999, taking pride in mentoring the next generation of OB-GYNs to provide top-notch women's healthcare.
With his genetics background and doctorate, Dr. Freije is well-equipped to offer genetic counseling to patients. He is particularly interested in epigenetics, studying how behavior and environment influence gene expression.
Born and raised in South Pasadena, Dr. Freije was inspired to become a doctor by his physician father, who he saw helping people and saving lives. He learned Spanish through his work at the Los Angeles County+University of Southern California Medical Center and is now fluent, able to converse with patients in both English and Spanish.
